String Installation

Non steel core strings require some additional care. When installing, please make sure the nut and bridge grooves are sized appropriately for the strings, and that there are no sharp edges. Graphite or wax onto the grooves is recommended. Certain types of tailpieces may require some additional thought and care when installing. Do not bend the strings.

Production / Shipping

Production
All Innovation Double Bass strings are "Made to Order" at our factory in Battle Creek, MI. We wind everything first come, first serve, but do our best to consolidate orders to save time whenever possible. Please allow 5-10 business days for us to make your strings by hand, and ensure you're getting the best strings possible. 
Shipping
All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail for domestic, and USPS International for Canada. Your order will be updated with the tracking information once it has shipped.

Exchanges / Replacements

Exchanges - Wrong Item
If you received the wrong item, please contact us immediately so we can remedy the situation. For domestic clients, we will issue you a return label to send the incorrect strings back. 

Exchanges - Other
Any exchanges requested other than receipt of incorrect item are at the discretion of Innovation. Product must be in brand new condition. If approved, the customer is responsible for return shipping of original item back to Innovation.

Replacements
For any replacement due to string breakage/unraveling, please contact us immediately and have the following information ready: 
  • Explanation of the problem
  • Photos of the string(s) needing replacing, preferably on the bass
  • Name of the dealer you purchased them from
  • Date of the purchase and/or email copy of the sales invoice
Replacements are up to the discretion of Innovation Strings, based upon the information provided. Innovation may request that the customer send the string(s) back for review. 


Returns

Domestic Returns - Innovation
Please contact us to start the return process. Sets or single strings that are new in package and have not been installed may be eligible for a refund less 10% restocking fee. The customer is responsible for shipping costs back to Innovation. 

Any string or string set that has been cut, installed or otherwise wound on a string peg (no matter how briefly) will not be considered for a refund. 

Domestic Returns - Dealers
We are unable to accept returns for refund. Those inquiries must go through the dealer you purchased them from, and are bound by their individual policies.

International Returns

All international return inquiries must go through the dealer that you purchased the strings from, and are bound by their individual policies.
